Our story and vision for community
The Birth Collective Alexandria is two-fold:
An online gathering place to build community, ask questions, and connect around pregnancy, birth, and postpartum topics. We value support, connection, empowerment, education, and advocacy. Our dream is to help new families create their village and make it simple to find answers about pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and beyond.
We host quarterly meet-ups in Alexandria, Minnesota to connect in person, share birth stories, network with regional birth workers, and explore deeper topics together around pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. These gatherings are where our community comes alive—where families find their people and birth workers strengthen their networks.
We are energized by the response to our first gathering. At that meeting, we shared our personal journeys and heard powerful stories from families and birth workers. We explored what our community truly needs and identified important gaps in support.
We're committed to building something meaningful together. If you're interested in being part of this conversation—as a parent, birth worker, or community member—we'd love to hear from you.
